GSC MODDING NEWS

GSC: "We find the support of modders one of the most important activities after release. That’s why we have given modders powerful tools for bringing changes to the game, as well as official support. As DLC we’ll increase, for example, the number of gaming nations, which are planned to be 20."

GSC: "We’re going to build the whole platform around the game to support the modding community. Right up to writing fragments of code to help them in making great gameplay changes. We are working on convenient service to connect mods, giving modmakers all the tools with which we create the game. I can say that Cossacks 3 is going to be sort of a semi-open source project. On the basis of tools, given to modders, they can create almost any game." 

Polygon: "Most importantly, full mod support will be baked in at launch. Grigorovich says the plan is to distribute Cossacks 3 with an editor, one that includes the same in-house tools the team used to build the game. They’ll be powerful enough, he said, to practically rebuild the game from scratch."

 

GSC: ""We will give modders lots of simple mechanisms to tweak the game, add new content, redesign interface, AI, change balance and gameplay or even make a completely new game with goblins and orcs.

"We will support popular mods, as well as give them official status and provide mod makers with help, making their work better and smoother."
